Visamo Nalsarovar Resort
A quiet lakeside retreat on the edge of Nalsarovar bird sanctuary, an easy drive from Ahmedabad — tree houses, A-frame studios and open gardens for a weekend of slow food, birdsong and firelight.
Visamo sits where the farmland around Nalsarovar opens into water and sky. Rooms are spread across the grounds as tree houses, A-frame studios and wooden suites, so each stay keeps its own patch of green. Days here are unhurried: breakfast in the garden, an afternoon by the outdoor pool, cricket or volleyball with the family, and dinner around the camp fire once the light goes. It suits families, couples and small groups who want the countryside without a long journey.
The resort is a referral partner of Immortal Vedas — rooms, tariffs and availability are handled entirely on the resort's own booking page.

Worth staying an extra night for
Dining under the trees
The kitchen cooks Gujarati and Indian plates to order, served in the garden restaurant or brought out to your sit-out. Ask for the evening thali.
Camp fire evenings
As the light drops the fire is lit in the open ground — tea, music and the quiet of the sanctuary at night. A favourite with families and small groups.
A tree house for two
Anniversaries and birthdays are arranged in the premium tree house, with flowers, a private dinner and the balcony to yourselves.
Around the property
Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary is a short drive away — best between November and February, when flamingos, pelicans and cranes settle on the lake; boatmen take visitors out at first light. Also within reach: Lothal (Harappan port museum), Velavadar Blackbuck National Park and the handicraft villages along the way to Ahmedabad.
